The Margaret Morris Method of Exercise and Dance is a unique system of exercise, dance and contemporary movement training that achieves a perfect balance between set exercises and free movement expression. The MMM exercises are arranged in graduated levels for different age groups: there are classes for children of all ages, teens, adults, mature adults, seniors and anyone who may have limitations or restrictions.
The exercises are arranged in grades (Colours) aimed at increasing mobility in every part of the body, as well as developing flexibility, strength and stamina – according to the individual level of performance. MMM is inclusive and suitable to everyone.
Like many dance methods, MMM is based on ‘core principles’ including: breathing, abdominal muscle training, work of the feet, correct posture, stretching, conscious relaxation, mobilization of joints, balance, spring and agility, rhythm and timing, body position in space and continuity of movement.
