MMM exercises are arranged in graduated levels, associated with Colours. In each Colour Level, students will learn and perform exercises with a different focus: Free Movement, Walking & Posture, Breathing, Opposition, Balance, Mobility and Continuity.
Starting with the Basic Level (first level for adults), exercises increase in difficulty and complexity as students progress through Colour levels. All exercises are designed to increase mobility in every part of the body, as well as flexibility, strength and stamina. Students also enjoy working in creative free movement and learning new dance choreographies.
Colour levels start at Basic (royal blue), White, Yellow, Orange, Red, Light Pink, Dark Pink, Crimson, Mauve, Blue and Green. There is an additional colour, Magenta, created by Jim Hastie, which is a special advanced performance level.
