Teacher Training – Margaret Morris Method

MMM Teachers undergo a comprehensive training program and are internationally accredited with Margaret Morris Movement International Limited.

The complete teacher training program consists of four levels: the Basic Teaching Certificate and the White, Yellow and Orange Teaching Diplomas.

In addition there are further training courses for Health Play, the Children’s Grades and MMM Movement Therapy, and Dance Technique Grades (assessments for qualified teachers).

Teacher training in these levels include:

Performance of the colour level. Demonstrating the knowledge of the exercises.
Teaching practice to students both in assessment and examination settings.
Applied Anatomy and Physiology in either oral or written examinations.
Principles of MMM, covering all aspects of setting up new classes, class planning, etc.
Written paper of Dance History or MMM related topic.

The first requirement to take a teacher training course is to become a member of MMM, and to have passed the Basic and White Colour examinations for performance.
